Frequently asked questions

Can I rely on these for financial decisions?

Our calculators are accurate and use standard formulas, but they're for planning and educational purposes only. Always consult a licensed financial advisor before making major decisions.

Which mortgage formula do you use?

We use the standard amortization formula: M = P · r(1+r)^n / ((1+r)^n − 1), where P is principal, r is the monthly rate, and n is the number of payments.

Do you support extra payments?

The mortgage calculator supports extra monthly principal payments and shows the resulting interest savings and shorter term.

How is compound interest calculated?

A = P · (1 + r/n)^(nt), where n is the compounding frequency per year and t is years. The calculator supports monthly, quarterly, yearly and continuous compounding.

Are exchange rates live?

Currency conversion uses cached daily rates from public sources for reference only — not for trading.

Is any data saved?

No. All calculations happen in your browser and nothing is sent to a server.
