About other calculators

This category collects the most-requested calculators that don't fit neatly into math, money, health, conversion or time. Students can use the GPA and grade calculators to track academic progress. DIY-ers and tradespeople rely on the concrete, paint and roofing calculators to estimate materials accurately. Drivers compare trip costs with the fuel calculator, shoppers find savings with the discount calculator, and the password and random-number generators provide secure, configurable output for security and games. The electricity-bill calculator helps households model their energy spend.

Frequently asked questions

Is the password generator secure?

Yes — it uses the Web Crypto API (crypto.getRandomValues), the same source browsers use for HTTPS. Passwords are generated in your browser and never transmitted.

How is GPA calculated?

Each course's grade points (4.0 = A, 3.0 = B, etc.) are multiplied by its credit hours, then summed and divided by total credits. We support weighted and unweighted scales.

Are construction estimates accurate?

They use standard industry formulas (e.g. coverage rates for paint, cubic-yard volumes for concrete) and include a configurable waste factor. Always order 5–10% extra for safety.

How accurate is the fuel cost calculator?

Very — it's simple arithmetic: (distance ÷ mileage) × price per unit. Results are exact given accurate inputs.

Does the electricity bill calculator account for tiered rates?

Yes, it supports flat-rate and multi-tier pricing common in residential utility plans.

Can I generate truly random numbers?

Yes — the random-number generator uses the Web Crypto API for cryptographic-quality randomness, suitable for lotteries, raffles and security.
